The 4th Festivities!!

Our 4th of July was pretty low-key this year.

With a toddler who crashes in bed at 9pm (at the VERY latest) plans designed around staying up until dark for fireworks wasn't going to pan out.

It was all great though, because we had a wonderful day with family and got to enjoy the Macy's fireworks display on TV from the comfort of the couch. :-)

We started the night with a little BBQ at Neal's parents. Austin was grooving to the music. This pic is him mid-bounce doing his little booty-shake dance!

Then we moved out to the front of the house and had a little "block" party all by ourselves... played in the cul-de-sac, had music pumping through the car stereo, played with fireworks, had some beers...

'Merica

Poppers! Daddy approved! Austin liked stomping on them to make them pop

Sporting our flag colors!

I don't know what Austin was doing here.. but look at that double chin!!!! Too cute

Sparklers. Not so amused. It could be because 5 mins before this he biffed it on the pavement and got a road rash on his head. Poor bubba.

Zooming around on his motorcycle!

Gama Pete and Auntie Lori

Busting a move again.. this time a shoulder shimmy!

His Poppa!!

Happy 4th from the Glynn family!!
So I mentioned Austin biffing it off his motorcycle.. nothing makes a kid feel better than some Mom snuggles and some brownie bites (not particularly in that order, either. haha!)

Your kid is lucky he gets to eat such deliciousness as brownie bites, poor Barrett can't have sugar laden items.

That's so fun that you guys got to spend the day with family being low key - it seems to be the thing we all do these days, low key holidays. Glad you took so many pictures - Im trying to be better about that!!

At least you did something! We didn't even watch fireworks on TV. Baby was in bed by 7pm and I was cursing the city of San Francisco for their multiple fireworks displays which went on until the audacious hour of 10pm! Don't they lnow babies are sleeping?! ;-)
He's growing up so fast!
