Project 857- September 26

Our first full Saturday at our new house!

We were on the tail-end of Owen's Hand Foot Mouth so there were a few things going on this weekend we didn't get to go to because we didn't want to infect anyone. My niece's bday celebration and our friend's annual End of Summer party.

Owen made up for missing the two parties by entertaining us with his beautiful piano music.

The drool was OUT OF CONTROL on that kid. Ugh.

Our couches were delivered as well, and it was an exciting moment! Things to sit on! Other than the floor! Yeah!!!

This little one is already quite attached to me, but even more so when he doesn't feel good. He just follows me going "Meh-ma, meh-ma" and burying his face in my legs when I stop walking. Poor baby.

The rest of afternoon we just got some more furniture put together, ordered pizza and watched the Ducks game and then when Owen went to bed we tried out our new fire pit!

Sometimes I feel bad Owen "misses out" on some of these things and then I snap out of it and realize that nobody would have fun trying to keep him away from the hot fire the whole time. Then I feel better about doing some things after Owen is in bed.

Austin was all about the fire!

We got stuff to make s'mores and while we were waiting for the embers to get ready, I asked Austin if he knew a scary story to tell around the "campfire."

Ok, this kid... is ANIMATED. The hand gestures and facial expressions he does lately... hilarious.

The whole story was a lot of repeated "and den... dey saw the monster! And DEN... dey walked into the WEALLY dark woods. And DEN... dere was the monster!

And DEN..."

It was one of my most favorite moments of my life. Seriously. SO FUNNY.

Then it was time for s'mores!

Austin got his all assembled.. and then decided he didn't want the marshmallow on there. So Neal took it off and he went after just the chocolate and graham cracker.

Then we look over... and the graham cracker is gone. Neal was like "so really, you just wanted the chocolate?"

And then Austin started singing a song and dancing around going "just the chocolate, just the chocolate... " and mistook where his little chair was.. and boomed down on the ground on his butt!!

Poor guy, I think he was just scared but he cried for a bit, until Neal tickled him and got him laughing again.

Before bed, we all had to get cleaned up and get that campfire smoke off us!

Who says Turbie Twist towels are just for girls??? Ha.

You stay goofy, Austin... because you are awesome!
